PTFE film for PVC profile welding machines - Technolog, adhesive and non-adhesive versions

PTFE film for PVC welding machines

Film that separates the welding platen from the PVC profile. Roll 1 m wide and 30 m long, 0.15 mm from stock, 0.14 and 0.23 mm to order. Cut to length.

PTFE film separates the welding platen from the PVC profiles being welded. Without it the heated profile sticks to the platen and the weld comes away tearing the material.

It is a consumable: it wears with the number of cycles and is replaced once it starts to fray or wrinkle. That is why we cut it from the roll to any length - you can order exactly what one platen needs, or a reserve.

PTFE film without adhesive

Roll 1 m x 30 m, 0.15 mm always in stock

The basic version, laid over the platen without adhesive. The film is wound on a roll 1 m wide, and the minimum order is 1 running metre.

Which film thickness to choose

The standard we keep permanently in stock is 0.15 mm. It performs well in normal welding work and is what most workshops order.

The thinner 0.14 mm follows the shape of the platen more closely and is chosen where finer detail matters. The thicker 0.23 mm is mechanically tougher and lasts longer in intensive production. Both are supplied to order.

The choice between the adhesive and non-adhesive versions is about how it is held. Adhesive film clings to the platen and does not shift in use - more convenient with frequent cycles. Non-adhesive film is easier to lift and replace and leaves no adhesive residue on the platen.

We cut the film from the roll to the length you order, with a minimum of 1 metre. A full roll is 30 metres at 1 metre wide.

It is a consumable: it wears with the number of cycles and is replaced once it starts to fray or wrinkle. The film is wound on a roll 1 m wide and 30 m long, and we cut it to any length the customer orders, with a minimum of 1 metre.

Thicknesses: 0.15 mm from stock, 0.14 and 0.23 mm to order

The standard in continuous supply is 0.15 mm - it performs well in normal welding work and is what most workshops order. The thinner 0.14 mm follows the shape of the platen more closely and is chosen where finer detail matters. The thicker 0.23 mm is mechanically tougher and lasts longer in intensive production. Both are supplied to order.

Adhesive or non-adhesive

The choice depends on how it is held. Adhesive film bonds straight to the platen, does not shift in use and needs no mechanical fixing - more convenient with frequent cycles. Non-adhesive film is easier to lift and replace and leaves no adhesive residue on the platen. Both versions share the same figures: 1 m width, a 30 m roll and the same thicknesses available.

Collection at the weekend too

We hand goods over during the week, but the collection time is agreed individually - including on a Saturday and, if need be, a Sunday, arranged by phone beforehand. The option is used above all by customers living and working in Germany. Orders for weekend collection should be placed by Friday 12:00 at the latest. We ship throughout Poland.

Frequently asked questions

What is PTFE film for in a welding machine?

It separates the welding platen from the PVC profiles being welded. Without it the heated profile sticks to the platen and the weld comes away tearing the material.

What film thicknesses are available?

0.15 mm in continuous supply, plus 0.14 mm and 0.23 mm to order.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One running metre. We cut the film from the roll to the length the customer orders.

What are the dimensions of the film roll?

1 metre wide, with 30 metres of film on the roll.

Adhesive film or non-adhesive?

Adhesive film bonds to the platen and does not shift in use - more convenient with frequent cycles. Non-adhesive film is easier to lift off and leaves no adhesive residue on the platen.

Which thickness should I choose?

0.15 mm as standard. The thinner 0.14 mm follows the shape of the platen more closely, the thicker 0.23 mm is tougher in intensive production.
