Door restrictors and stays
Rigid restrictors for entrance doors and a stay for sliding doors and windows. Metal construction, finishes from chrome to antique bronze and epoxy white.
A restrictor lets you open the door a few centimetres and see who is there without letting anyone in. Engaged from inside, released in a second.
We carry three rigid restrictors for entrance doors - Modern, Classic and Most - plus the Airbaie stay for sliding doors and windows, where an ordinary restrictor cannot work.
Most - the restrictor that folds against the frame
Metal, noise-damping insert, adapter for non-flush doors
This design solves the classic problem with restrictors: there is no risk of the door being locked by accident - by a draught, a child or a pet. A folded arm simply cannot drop into the locking position.
Inside there is a plastic insert that damps the noise on opening, so the restrictor does not clatter against the frame.
On non-flush doors, where the leaf overlaps the frame, a dedicated adapter makes fitting possible.

Airbaie - stay for sliding doors and windows
Metal, opening limited to 11 cm, anti-burglary function
It limits the opening to 11 cm: enough to air the room, too little for anyone to squeeze through. The door can be left ajar while still guarding against entry from outside and against a child getting out.
Its solid metal construction means it is also used in hotels, hospitals and schools.

Which restrictor to choose
The first question is the type of door. For hinged doors - typical entrance doors - Modern, Classic and Most all work. For sliding constructions, only Airbaie, because it is the only one that grips a leaf moving sideways.
The second is the style of finish. Modern has a contemporary line and chrome finishes, Classic a traditional shape in nickel and antique bronze. Most works best where the restrictor should be discreet, since at rest it lies flat along the frame.
The third, and most practical: are there children or pets in the house? A rigid restrictor that drops of its own accord can lock the door from inside - and then it has to be forced. The Most, folding vertically, rules that out. That is its main advantage, alongside the noise-damping insert.
On non-flush doors, where the leaf overlaps the frame, an adapter is needed - worth noting when ordering so we can send the complete set.
Door restrictors and stays
A restrictor lets the door open a few centimetres so you can see who is there without letting anyone in. It is engaged from inside and released in a second. We carry three rigid restrictors for entrance doors - Modern, Classic and Most - all in metal, plus the Airbaie stay for sliding doors and windows, where a rigid restrictor has nothing to grip.
Most - the restrictor that folds against the frame
The arm of the Most model folds vertically against the frame, so at rest it takes up almost no space. This design solves the classic problem with rigid restrictors: there is no risk of the door being locked by accident - by a draught, a child or a pet - because a folded arm cannot drop into the locking position. The model also has a plastic insert that damps the noise on opening, and on non-flush doors, where the leaf overlaps the frame, a dedicated adapter makes fitting possible. Colours: chrome, gold plated, antique bronze, satin matt nickel, satin matt brass and epoxy white.
Modern and Classic - rigid restrictors
Modern is a restrictor with a contemporary line, used on entrance doors in homes and businesses, available in chrome, gold plated, satin matt chrome, satin matt gold and epoxy white. Classic has a traditional shape and finishes chosen to suit older joinery and period interiors - nickel, gold plated, antique bronze and epoxy white. Typical uses are hotels and flats. Both are made of metal.
Airbaie - a stay for sliding doors
Airbaie is the only model intended for sliding constructions: patio doors, veranda exits and conservatories. It limits the opening to 11 cm - enough to air the room, too little for anyone to squeeze through. It lets the door stay ajar while guarding both against entry from outside and against a child getting out. Its solid metal construction means it is used in hotels, hospitals and schools. Epoxy colours: silver, white, black and brown.
