The Mini / Maxi split refers to groove width and is matched to the curtain thickness. Aluminium versions are used where the rail is long and has to stay rigid.

How to choose a guide rail and shutter hardware
Three things matter when choosing a guide rail. The groove width, that is the Mini / Maxi split - matched to the curtain thickness. The number of grooves: a single rail carries one curtain, a double one two, for instance a shutter together with an insect screen. The material: PVC is enough on typical windows, aluminium is chosen for long rails where rigidity counts, and for systems with external access and Raffstore.
Brushes are either fitted at the works or bought separately - in aluminium rails they slide into the groove together with the welt. They too are typical service parts: when a shutter starts running heavily or making noise, it is usually the glides, brushes and welts that are worn, not the mechanism itself.
On the box side the access cover matters most. The Klips version with a 15 mm EPS core has a thermal resistance of 0.67 m²K/W and two seals bearing on the box, so it needs no extra sealing. The cover is held by a Klips retaining profile or by an adapter matched to the particular box - C70 for Beck & Heun systems, for example.
The standard profile length is 6 metres; profiles F and H are supplied in 3 m lengths and the RA insulating insert in 1.25 m pieces.

We carry widths of 35 and 60 mm in heights of 51 and 86 mm, with and without brushes, including coloured versions.
Service parts: glides, brushes and welts
When a shutter starts running heavily, grating or making noise, in most cases it is the guiding parts that are worn, not the mechanism. Glides reduce friction between curtain and rail and come single and double closed, Mini and Maxi, in white and black. The 6.7 x 4.5 mm brush and the Mini and Maxi welts slide into the groove of an aluminium rail: they cushion the curtain's travel and keep dust out of the profile. It is the cheapest repair that can be made to an external shutter.
Klips access covers and box insulation
The Klips access cover (EPS/15) closes the shutter box. It slides in, with no snap catch, and two seals bearing on the box mean no additional sealing is needed. A 15 mm EPS core, internal chambers and an aluminium foil finish give a thermal resistance of 0.67 m²K/W. Available widths are 95, 120, 140, 160, 180, 195, 220, 240, 260 and 300 mm at a fixed height of 25 mm and 6 m length. The cover is held by a Klips retaining profile of 16, 30 or 38 mm, and in Beck & Heun boxes by the C70 adapter.
Collection at the weekend too
We hand goods over during the week, but the collection time is agreed individually - including on a Saturday and, if need be, a Sunday, arranged by phone beforehand. The option is used above all by customers living and working in Germany, who collect their material when they come back to Poland. Orders for weekend collection should be placed by Friday 12:00 at the latest. We ship throughout Poland.
