Folding PVC trims and angles - supplied on the roll

Thin profiles 1.0-1.5 mm with adhesive tape, packed in 50 and 100 m rolls. Laid flat they work as a flat trim; folded, as an angle profile at any angle you like.

A folding profile has a thin living hinge along its axis. One material therefore does the job of two: it lies flat on a straight run and folds in the corner to whatever angle the building gives you - including angles other than 90 degrees.

A roll rather than a length has one more advantage: it is cut to any length on site, with no joints showing every 6 metres. This is the answer for long runs and for windows coupled at an angle.

The core group: thin profiles 1.0-1.5 mm thick, which is what lets them coil. The version with a sealing lip has a flexible lip along one edge that hides small irregularities in the wall beside the window.

The thinnest version in the range, specified by leg sizes. It suits fine finishing work where a rigid angle profile from a length would look too heavy and the run to be covered is long.

The foil-wrapped version. The size is given as the overall width, with the leg split after folding in brackets - so 50 (30/20) means a 50 mm profile folded into 30 and 20 mm legs.

The Renolit stock decors are golden oak 2178001-167 and walnut 2178007-167. Other colours are made to order, lead time by arrangement.

Roll or length - when a folding profile is the right choice

Profiles on the roll are 1.0-1.5 mm thick, roughly half the thickness of angle profiles and trims in 6-metre lengths. That is exactly what lets them coil, but it also changes where they belong.

Choose the roll when the run is long and joints between lengths would show, when the corner is not a right angle, or when you need material you can transport without a six-metre bundle. The 50 and 100 m rolls are cut on site, so there is less waste.

Choose the length where stiffness matters: on corners that have to hold a straight line, and on wide covering profiles. For that we have fixed PVC angle profiles and flat trims in 6 m lengths.

Fitting on adhesive tape follows the same rules as the other profiles: degrease the surface before bonding and leave expansion gaps at both ends of the run. Coiled profiles should be unrolled on delivery and left flat before they go on the wall.
